Studies Link Monsanto’s Glyphosate to Ocean Death

If you find the Before and After pictures shocking, they were for me as well. In 2013, while snorkeling off Port Douglas on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, even the boat captain had a hard time finding any coral area that wasn’t bleached of all color with little to no visible marine life.

As a certified diver, who has dove many reefs, I was ready to see an incredible display of aquatic life. Everything looked absolutely dead.

“What happened?” I asked. The explanation back then was pollution. No one mentioned what exactly that “pollution” might be.

Today we are getting a much clearer picture, and it may mean throwing out what we’ve been programmed to believe about fossil fuels, CO2 emissions and global warming being the main culprit killing our oceans and planet. Now, according to research by the Marine Pollution Bulletin and others, we can add glyphosate, Monsanto’s Roundup Ready herbicide, to the top of the list.

Everything in the ocean relies on phytoplankton for their sole food source. That includes whales, reefs, sponges, coral, etc. Some fish rely on getting their phytoplankton needs met by feeding on other fish who feed off the plankton. Everything is interconnected. In the ocean, phytoplankton is as at the very top of the food chain. It’s paramount to survival.

Phytoplankton is a photosynthetic plant that basically amounts to ocean algae. Its biological processes are the same as land-based plants. Ocean and coral reef death can be traced to phytoplankton die-off, which has accelerated by 40 percent since the 1950’s. It wasn’t long before some researchers started asking: What new substance was introduced in the last 40 years that kills virtually all land-based plants? The answer: Glyphosate.

Coral reefs are largely plant life. Glyphosate is a plant-killer, designed to annihilate any life it comes in contact with that isn’t protected by genetic modification. Run-off from agricultural spraying of this weed killer goes into our rivers and is dumped into the ocean in less than 40 days. It maintains roughly 80% of its killing capacity.

The researchers found the most notable phytoplankton declines in waters near both poles, in the tropics, as well as in the open ocean. So basically, everywhere. Conventional science tells us that phytoplankton die-off is due to warmer waters from climate change. Then one has to ask oneself: Why is the die-off also occurring in the colder waters at the Arctic poles? Apparently temperature is not the determining factor, so there goes the global warming explanation.

Phytoplankton die-off eventually leads to ocean acidification. Some recent studies are showing that true to the interconnectedness of nature, ocean acidification may actually have a climatic effect of its own. While climate change and ocean acidification are parallel phenomena, there are also some cross-links enabling them to interact. Rising temperatures and changing seawater chemistry are known to have an impact on marine life, and some of those impacts could, in turn, cause rising air and sea temperatures. That’s why it’s called the climate system. When you affect one thing, other things change as well.

While phytoplankton is dying, so is the planet’s abundant marine life. Hundreds of Pacific salmon are disappearing at an alarming rate. Experts believe they are starving to death because the once flourishing plankton pastures have turned into lifeless deserts. This, in turn, could contribute to the increase in large-scale whale beachings and fish deaths seen in recent years.

Why is glyphosate’s run-off so deadly to our oceans? Glyphosate’s half-life, or the rate at which it breaks down, is dramatically longer in the ocean than in fresh water. This is because glyphosate is a salt and in the presence of ocean salts it acts as a preservative. Even worse, it gathers strength over time leading to massive plankton and aquatic die-off. Unfortunately, this news is not being reported.

The studies say: “The half-life for glyphosate at 25°C in low-light was 47 days, extending to 267 days in the dark at 25°C and 315 days in the dark at 31°C, which is the longest persistence reported for this herbicide.”

In soil, the chemical’s half-life is as quick as 5 days. In bog or fresh water, it’s 49 days. Since so many agricultural countries in the world use this dangerous herbicide, glyphosate is now being detected in a diversity of water bodies when samples are analyzed. However, most countries fail to include regular glyphosate-monitoring programs. Stand-alone analytical methods are often cost-prohibitive, resulting in a long-term deficiency in global datasets (Barceló and Hennion, 2003).

Australia uses Roundup Ready at a rate of 30 million pounds each year. The U.S. uses a staggering 180-185+ million pounds each year. Now imagine all the millions of pounds other countries use as well. Most of this ends up finding its way to our oceans.

What if we’ve gotten the whole global warming theory backwards? What if burning fossil fuels isn’t the primary cause of climate change, but toxic chemicals ARE through a natural chain reaction?  Global warming activist Al Gore was recently interviewed by Fox Newscaster Chris Wallace in June of this year. Gore admitted that on a global scale “emissions have stabilized and are beginning to decline”. So if we’ve cut down on fuel emissions, while being taxed and regulated to use these resources (the Carbon Tax), why are we not seeing any real difference? In fact, it seems to be getting worse according to Gore.

The oceans are trying to tell us something, if we would only listen. Oceans play an important role in keeping the Earth’s carbon cycle in balance. If we are killing off the oceans due to glyphosate run-off, which causes widespread plankton and aquatic death and ocean acidification, which causes the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to rise along with climate temperature, then perhaps a better solution can be offered. Place a worldwide ban on glyphosate and stop it from poisoning our Earth.

In 2015 Monsanto’s Roundup weed killer (glyphosate) was classified as “probably” carcinogenic in humans. This was affirmed by the World Health Organization’s (WHO) International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) after conducting a comprehensive review on the safety of this crop chemical. It only affirmed what independent science has been saying for years. It’s in our food, in our air, in our rivers and oceans—pretty much every where.

It’s becoming more and more evident that chemical companies are destroying our planet.  It wasn’t until the mid 1970’s that Monsanto started really mass-marketing glyphosate, even though it was being used experimentally since the 50’s when it was first formulated. By 1980 it had become the best-selling herbicide in the world. In the early 1990’s people really started noticing ecological changes in the Great Barrier Reef which stretches for over 1,400 miles off Queensland’s north-west coast. This reef was once home to 1,625 species of fish, 3,000 molluscs and 30 different types of whale and dolphin.

Leading environmental writer Rowan Jacobsen recently wrote: “The Great Barrier Reef of Australia passed away in 2016 after a long illness. It was 25 million years old.” Death by poisoning.

No ocean is immune and neither are we. Monsanto’s judgment time will come. I actively encourage all documentary producers and environmental writers and activists to start covering this disturbing topic. Life depends on it.

Answers to the American Epidemic of Gluten Intolerance

Bread groupWhat would life be like without bread?  We all love and crave our carbs.  Yet, so many people in the United States are finding that this basic staple of life no longer agrees with them. It wasn’t always this way and you have to ask why?  What causes the strange symptoms known as “gluten intolerance” that many people get from eating wheat?  The signs read like a pharmaceutical warning label: gas, bloating, gastrointestinal distress, diarrhea, constipation, brain fog, chronic fatigue and even autoimmune disease.

The primary culprit is not Monsanto genetically modified wheat (GMOs), which is bad enough, but the Roundup herbicide widely used by American farmers growing GMO wheat.  About 20 years ago Monsanto started preparing their wheat seeds to be “Roundup Ready.”  They told people that without strong pesticide use, we as a nation would not be able to keep up with the growing food demand of our population.  Of course, this was false info (aka propaganda). Yet,  as a result, agricultural methods changed and all farmers are now required to use preharvest Roundup herbicide with their GMO crops.pesticide

According to Dr. Stephanie Seneff of MIT, who has studied the issue in-depth, back in the late 1990’s they began spraying non-organic wheat crops with the toxic chemical glyphosate (Roundup), which helped release more seeds from the wheat resulting in a “slightly” greater crop yield.  More wheat, more profits. The farmers call this method “desiccation.”

Roundup saturates the entire wheat plant and residues of this pesticide show up regularly in bread samples. This toxic use of glyphosate in the US wheat crop since 1996 has caused  the incidence of celiac disease to skyrocket, according to a 2013 study published in the Journal Interdisciplinary Toxicology which examined glyphosate pathways to autoimmune disease. The Journal Entropy agrees with the findings.

Glyphosate significantly disrupts the functioning of beneficial bacteria in the gut and contributes to the permeability of the intestinal wall, resulting in autoimmune symptoms. The normal reaction to any harmful element the body tries to rid itself of is an inflammatory/allergic response. It’s the most likely reason for the rise in common food and environmental allergies as well.

Not surprisingly, glyphosate is now commonly found in human urine. Gluten intolerance is not just genetic in nature, as many people have been led to believe, but clearly environmental. It won’t kill you immediately, but over time it can cause systemic damage. The increase in such diseases as diabetes, Alzheimer’s, allergies, obesity, cancer, depression, heart disease, infertility, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, ALS and autism, have more than doubled since Roundup came on the scene in 1996.  The conclusion—our food supply is being poisoned.

glyphosateMany friends have told me that when traveling in Europe, and other countries, they can eat all the bread and wheat products they want without suffering gluten intolerance symptoms. The difference is many countries do not flood their crops with pesticides like we do. To-date, 38 countries worldwide have either officially banned the use of Roundup Ready and/or the cultivation of GM crops. Only 28 countries actually grow GM crops.

The slogan “Banned in Europe, Safe in the U.S.” makes the United States look downright shameful. The FDA and our government, who keep approving these toxic methods, should be charged with crimes against humanity for allowing the poisoning of their populace in the interests of corporate greed.

Most people in this country think that if they eat only gluten-free products they will be healthier. NOT TRUE. Food manufacturers replace wheat, barley and/or rye with white rice (which breaks down into sugar). Then to make matters worse, they also add more sugar to make their product more palatable. Read the labels. It’s either poison by glyphosate or by sugar. Not much of a choice. It reminds me of all those “healthy” fat-free products on the market. They just remove the fat and replace it with more sugar. It seems to be America’s quick sugar-fix solution.

So what can one eat? There’s not much you can do if you usually eat out, except to exclusively patronize organic food restaurants (which only means that no pesticides were used in their foods).  But can you always be so sure? If you mostly eat at home, you can use low-gluten unhybridized Einkorn wheat to make your pancakes, breads, pizza dough, and other wheat-requiring products. I’m told it not only tastes better, but the body easily digests it since it’s pure wheat. Do your research and you be the judge.

NEWS UPDATE:  March 25, 2015…..Glyphosate, the toxic active ingredient  in the Monsanto’s flagship herbicide Roundup, was “classified as probably carcinogenic to humans” according to a new report from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), the Word Health Organization’s France-based cancer research arm.

Life Saving FACTS about EBOLA

ebola-virus-back-again13Every where in the news these days it is all about EBOLA, EBOLA, and more EBOLA.  The media has been stirring the pot with fear-based predictions of pandemics, millions of people eventually dying, and it’s taking its emotional toll on everyone.  The first time I heard an Ebola news story I said to my friends, “Just watch. The next thing they will be pushing is mandatory vaccinations.”  That prediction may not be far off.

Long before I became a clinical psychologist I was a TV news researcher.  Whenever my intuitive red flags go off, I start searching for more information. So this blog is to give you some life-saving information you may not have heard.  If you don’t believe what I found, then do your own research and investigation, use some deductive reasoning, and decide for yourself.

FACT:  The U.S. Centers for Disease Control own a patent on a particular strain of Ebola known as “EboBun.” It’s patent No. CA2741523A1 and it was awarded in 2010. You can view it here.  According to patent law, you can’t “own” a patent on something unless you can prove you invented it.  Now, why would the CDC want to invent and patent a deadly virus unless:  1) they initially created it as a bioweapon;  2) they hope to claim proprietary rights to it so they can control and financially gain from vaccines related thereto; and/or  3) it’s a cover for something else, like ushering in increased government control (think the Department of Homeland Security on steroids).

The CDC patent summary says: “The invention provides the isolated human Ebola (hEbola) viruses denoted as Bundibugyo (EboBun) deposited with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”; Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America) on November 26, 2007 and accorded an accession number 200706291.” It goes on to state, “The present invention is based upon the isolation and identification of a new human Ebola virus species, EboBun.  EboBun was isolated from the patients suffering from hemorrhagic fever in a recent outbreak in Uganda.”

Wait a minute, this patent summary is from 2007 ?  Which means this Ebola thing has been in the planning stages for quite a while.  I’m sure the CDC will counter this by saying that EboBun is not the same variant currently believed to be circulating in West Africa, which is true.  Clearly, the CDC needs to expand its patent portfolio to include more strains, and that may very well be why American Ebola victims have been brought to the United States in the first place.  (There’s no medical reason to do so, and infectious disease experts have agreed on this point.)   However, once the infected patients are on American soil, the CDC can take all the tissue and fluid samples they want, claim rights to the strain, and file a monopoly patent protection on that variant as well.  Which means only they can profit from its invention.

The “SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION” section of the patent document also clearly claims that the U.S. government is claiming “ownership” over all Ebola viruses that share as little as 70% similarity with the Ebola it “invented.”  If you don’t believe me, read the patent for yourself.

FACT:   Sierra Leone sits on a veritable gold mine of natural resources.  This particular Ebola outbreak first appeared in the West African country of Sierra Leo20140816_IRM974ne.  Sierra Leone is the largest supplier of  precious “Blood Diamonds.”  These are the best quality diamonds in the world and people are willing to kill for them, hence the name “conflict” or “blood diamonds.”  The diamond workers have been on strike for the last four months refusing to provide diamonds due to poor working conditions and slave labor pay.  This has caused a financial ripple effect in the worldwide diamond business making a lot of gem dealers very unhappy.

Another lesser known fact about Sierra Leone is that it sits on a vast and more recently discovered OIL reserve.  Perhaps even the largest in all of Africa.  The people have been fighting to keep out foreign oil companies determined to reap and pillage the wealth of their land and put in a large pipeline (like Keystone XL).   Are you getting the picture?   Most of this country’s oil is currently being sold to China.  That makes Big Oil very unhappy.  Suddenly Ebola breaks out in Sierra Leone.  The people are immobilized with fear and are quickly being forced into mandatory quarantine camps.  The protests stop—they have other far more threatening life and death issues to now deal with.  Seeing an opportunity, the U.S. can’t wait to send in ground troops to Sierra Leone and neighboring countries, Nigeria, Liberia and Guinea, on the pretense of a humanitarian mission–the only way we would ever have been militarily allowed into these areas.  The U.S. has never expressed much of an interest before in the humanitarian needs of Africa.  But OIL, now that’s a game changer.

FACT:  Troops have been sent in to force vaccinations on the people Some interesting reports have been coming back from people living in West Africa.  One Ghana man, named Nana Kwame, let journalists know:

“People in the Western World need to know what’s happening here in West Africa. THEY ARE LYING!!! “Ebola” as a virus does NOT Exist and is NOT “Spread”. The Red Cross has brought a disease to 4 specific countries for 4 specific reasons and it is only contracted by those who receive treatments and injections from the Red Cross. That is why Liberians and Nigerians have begun kicking the Red Cross out of their countries and reporting in the news the truth.”

The man alleges that those getting the vaccinations all died (even though they didn’t have Ebola-like symptoms).  Whether you believe the man’s claims or not, you should still be asking:  What’s in this vaccination that they are forcing on people?  As someone who has had two different client’s children die within 24 hours after a vaccination, as well seen my cousin’s  5- year-old fully functioning son suddenly start crawling on the floor and losing serious cognitive function within 24 hours after a vaccination (consequently being classified as now severely autistic), I am not a proponent of vaccinations.  Especially in light of CDC whistle blower, scientist William Thompson, recently coming out this year and admitting to being a part of a CDC cover-up linking autism to vaccinations.  Makes you wonder what else they may not be telling us at the CDC.

FACT:   Monsanto controls the company awarded the Ebola vaccine contract.  Monsanto has partnered with the Department of Defense to use a proxy third party company to develop a vaccine against Ebola. The seed money began at $1.5 million. The value of the deal could grow to an estimated $86 million dollars.  The company’s name is Tekmira Pharmaceuticals Corporation (TKMR) (TKM.TO), a leading developer of RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutics. “TKM-Ebola, an anti-Ebola virus RNAi therapeutic, is being developed under a $140 million contract with the U.S. Department of Defense’s Medical Countermeasure Systems BioDefense Therapeutics (MCS-BDTX) Joint Product Management Office.”

Big, bad, GMO and toxic pesticide-spewing Monsanto has their hands in yet another pot that affects human health.  Who is Monsanto?  It’s hard to ferret out a controlling stockholder’s list, but it is known that Bill and Melinda Gates own more than $23 million worth of Monsanto stock and they keep buying more.  Bill Gates’ views on population control, more familiarly known as “eugenics,” are no public secret:

“The world today has 6.9 billion people and that’s headed up to about 9 billion.  If we do a really great job, we could lower that by perhaps 10 or 15 percent.”– Bill Gates (View Here)

What’s a “really great job?”  Vaccines are generally touted as a way to live longer and healthier.  They don’t lower the population, they help increase it–unless the vaccine has other hidden objectives such as sterilization.  I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing that would ever convince me to get a vaccination for Ebola, especially one that Bill Gates was behind.   Yet, the fear will make people clamor for it, rush it through the testing process, and bring it to market before we know all the long list of potential side effects.   I bet they’re counting on that.   Which brings me back to my first “fact.”  If the CDC, together with the U.S. government, did indeed invent Ebola, as their patent claims, they would not have done it without having also made an antidote to it at the same time (standard procedure).  So why are they suddenly claiming they don’t have a cure and giving the contract to Tekmira (Monsanto)?  Perhaps because it would look just a little bit too timely and suspicious?

Adding to that, Bill Gates has just given an additional $50 million to the CDC in the name of fighting Ebola (see video below).  I find this very disturbing in light of Bill Gates’ eugenics views, even though it may appear on the surface as a humanitarian and generous gesture on his part.   Whenever there are too many red flags, always look deeper.  But beware of the mainstream media.  They have turned out to be very unreliable with regard to the truth.  They screwed up big time on those infamous “weapons of mass destruction” and only reported what they were told, without doing any responsible independent digging.

I think this is another false flag, like so many that have come before it (remember the swine flu pandemic hoax to sell vaccines?).  Perhaps we will never know some of the hidden motives behind the Ebola scare.   There can be many.  If it’s not about oil, then it’s about money.   Is it to distract us from the news that Russia and China have been steadily dumping U.S. Treasury bonds while buying up the world’s remaining gold, signalling perhaps that they are preparing to dump the U.S. petro-dollar and do a re-set back to the gold standard?  This would be the end of the U.S. dollar.  Our economy has been on artificial life-support for years and is unfortunately not backed by gold.  During a financial crisis, over-population would make the situation and clamor for resources even more dire.   Or could it be something else entirely?

I bet you thought when you stated reading that this article was going to be all about preventive measures to save you from Ebola.  I’m sorry if I disappointed you, but good information is even more life-saving in the long run.  It comes in handy when you have to make a tough decision on what to do or whom to believe.  I will end with one very positive suggestion to keep in mind that I stumbled across in my research.  Higher doses of Vitamin C have been shown to immediately stop the internal bleeding from Ebola (if indeed it is Ebola) when tested on animals.  But, the drug and vaccine companies haven’t been able to patent Vitamin C so you are not going to hear about it on the 6 o’clock news.  Again–do your research, be well, and stay informed!
